Hey, one of these used to be my ringtone! I had to review it some time, and I couldn’t manage to cram it in to the Wall of Sound column. I won’t uselessly ramble on this song for too long, it’s simple enough to just say this has been one of my favourite projects to come out of england since I began listening to Massive Attack.
This album has been in my CD collection since an eternity ago, and I haven’t really heard anything like it since. The mixture of the electronic loops and traditional rock elements is a really neat and unique sound, and when it’s coupled with Saffron’s vocals.
This album specifically unfortunately falls to a sort of mid-album slump I usually experience with music, so the latter half of the disc kinda teeters off into 7s. Not bad but not good. This is why all the track-by-track reviews are considered YMMV!
