About me
Hi there! I'm Flint, or whatever name you feel like pulling from the multitude of names that have been coined for me. I'm an I.T. technician, mainly specializing in hardware and networking. In my free time I play games (both video and tabletop), take photos and edit them, write music reviews, edit videos, and now, I'll probably be writing for this website as well.

My car:
My car is a 2006 Toyota Highlander with the factory-optional 3.3L V6 engine and front-wheel drive. It's got throttle-by-wire, and power steering! Brilliant! I call it Iggy sometimes (standing for "Ill Gotten Gains Ycan'tIthinkofanythingelse") because I think it's funny. It's pretty much bone-stock because I'm too broke to cram performance parts in a car that I only drive for 3-4 hours a week, but like most things in my life, I'm hoping to change that soon. I eventually plan on getting a roof rack on it, as well as a tow hitch welded to the frame. I'm also in the process of installing a ham radio with its antenna on the rear of the roof, above the trunk.

I do all the maintainence on it myself in the parking lot of my apartment complex. If it gets more advanced than what I'm able to fix with a ratchet wrench and a screwdriver, I have a friend who lets me use a section of his kitted garage to do what I need to. I've already had to use his equipment to clean out the catalytic converter and tighten two of the engine belts so they would stop screaming for dear life every time I started it in the winter. More will be posted about it, especially when it comes time to actually modify it.

Computer hardware and software:
My main computer is a modified HP Victus 15 laptop. The extensive modifications I have made upon it and its ROM have led me to dub it the Keeri Furritus (Latin for "Little thief") 80, in honor of all ferrets everywhere. Its current hardware includes:
  • An AMD Ryzen 5 5600H CPU running at the factory 3.3GHz
  • An NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1650 GPU
  • A 512GB HDD (Soon to be replaced)
  • 32GBs of RAM
  • An extended onboard battery
  • Removed webcam and microphone
  • More internal anti-shock/drop shielding (I'm clumsy)
As for software, here's my main go-tos that I have been using for some time:
  • OS: Somewhat neutered Windows 11, probably still some telemetry shit I haven't found yet
  • Music player: Musikcube
  • Music library management: mp3tag
  • Audio editing / mastering: Adobe Audition (Permafree)
  • Audio recording from microphone: Audacity
  • Audio recording from radio: SDR#
  • Image viewing: nomacs
  • Image editing / drawing: Adobe Photoshop (Also permafree)
  • Video editing: Kdenlive
